I was really disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Its charm has faded, and there are serious issues that need addressing. While the location is decent, and the building has potential, the cleanliness and maintenance leave a lot to be desired. I'm not sure I'd return even if the price were lower.

The rooms were in average condition but need renovation. They felt outdated and were not ready until almost 6 PM, despite check-in being at 4 PM.

The service was lacking; I found the front desk staff unhelpful, especially when trying to resolve my issues. No one seemed to care about my concerns.

The hotel is in a good location, close to attractions but not too touristy. It is right in the center of historic Monterey.

The breakfast options were not appetizing and definitely did not meet expectations. I ended up going elsewhere for my morning meal.
